Student Voluntary Plans

Check You Meal Plan Balance Online! Check your meal plan balance on the Mason Money Online website. You must login first and then select Plans.

Academic Year Fall 2011/Spring 2012

Meal plans will be available at noon on Thursday, August 26th. Students living off campus and those students exempt from the residential meal plan program can take advantage of tremendous savings using any of the voluntary meal plans!

The best value is in Southside; one meal swipe to enjoy exhibition style cooking! Dining venues in Johnson Center, Center for Student Success (SUB I), and Ike's Diner work on an equivalency basis. During breakfast hours one meal swipe is equivalent to $4.75; the rate for dinner is $6.00. Different dining venues list equiv a meals (which may include entree, side, and drink) that total the equivalency rate. Remaining meals carry over from the fall to the spring semester, but all meals must be consumed by the end of the spring semester.

The Mason ID is used to access voluntary meals and can be printed once the student has registered for classes.

Purchase & Payment

Voluntary plans are billed to the student account. Contact the Meal Plan office located on the lower level of the Center for Student Engagement (SUB II) or send an email the to the Mason ID office (masonid@gmu.edu). Meal plan purchases cannot be made over the phone.

• Please send the email from your gmu.edu account.
• Include your G number.
• Specify which voluntary meal plan.
• Allow one business day for processing, longer during the beginning of each semester.

A confirmation email will be returned once the meal plan is available for use.
